A Baby Shower Dessert Table

For such a long time we have admired the beauty of dessert tables and have waited for a chance to create a beautiful table of our own. Last weekend we finally got the chance! It was a 'Pink & Yellow' themed table full of delicious treats, all handmade by The Iced Queens.

The table for the baby shower included; A 6" pink/yellow frill cake, pink owl cake pops, pink and yellow buttercream rose cupcake bouquets, buttermilk scones - with jam and cream, mini pavlova shots, lemon meringue marshmallow bites, cookie dough brownies, chocolate raspberry cupcakes, lemon meringue cupcakes, decorated sugar cookies and one of our newest creations the s'more parfait... YUM!

We were so pleased with the results of our first dessert table creation! We are definitely looking forward to the next one!

Mila's Naming Day Cake

One of our favourite projects last week was this beautiful cake we made for baby Mila's Naming Ceremony.
The cake was inspired by the pale blue, 'vintage rose' invitations.
Mila's mum really liked the idea of cake pops in the top of the cake and asked for handmade rose cake pops! A challenging request, but one we were happy to accept! The cake design was simple and feminine. We used handmade frills to create a vintage look and tie in the blue theme. We attached a pink fondant ribbon and an ivory plaque which were also design elements on the invite. Fifteen pink 'rose' cake pops were made to top the cake. We are looking forward to seeing photos of the cake complete with cake pops!

A sweet little something...

After a long week of making special orders Jess was feeling a 'little' creative! In the past Jess has been somewhat intimidated by finishing a rainbow cake. Today she took that tiny courageous step and actually created something so unbelievably sweet. The 2.5 inch mini rainbow cake - Brilliant!

The cake was originally meant to be six layers, somehow the green layer was accidentally eaten... Five layers or six, a truly spectacular addition to our range! Well Done Jess!
